What We're Looking For
Ayers Valley Farm raises pasture-raised beef, pork and chicken and ships it frozen to families across the country. We're growing fast, from about 2,300 orders a month today to 8,000–9,000 orders a month by spring. We're hiring three dependable, hardworking Fulfillment Associates to join our packing crew.
You'll work on our packing floor on ship days, making sure every box is packed right, packed cold and out the door on time. You'll report to our Operations & Fulfillment Lead and work alongside a tight-knit local team. Every box we pack feeds a family with food they can trust.
What You'll Do
- Pick and pack customer orders, checking every box against its order before it's sealed.
- Prepare insulated shipments with the right amount of dry ice for where each box is headed.
- Stage and palletize boxes for UPS pickup.
- Restock meat inventory into our freezers when new product arrives, keeping every freezer organized and every count accurate.
- Help with chicken loadouts.
- Keep the packing area clean, neat and organized at all times.
- Follow our packing checklists, and speak up when something's off so we can fix it.
What You Bring
- Reliability. You show up on time, every shift, ready to work.
- Attention to detail. A missing item or wrong cut means a disappointed family, so you check your work.
- The ability to work fast without cutting corners.
- A good attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to take direction well.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stay on your feet for a full shift and work in freezer and cold-storage conditions.
- Warehouse, packing, food-handling or farm experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person.
What You'll Deliver
- The orders you pack ship complete, correct and on time.
- Freezers stay organized and inventory counts match what's on the shelf.
- You get faster and more accurate every week, and you help train new crew members as we grow.
Schedule
- Primarily Mondays and Tuesdays, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.
- Additional hours available during meat restocks, chicken loadouts and other farm projects.
Location
On-site at our farm in Russellville, Ohio.
Compensation
$17/hour to start, with opportunities for increases based on experience.
