Pork Boneless Shoulder Roast
2.5 lb avg / pkg
Our Pork Shoulder Roast is a flavorful, well-marbled cut from the lower shoulder of the hog that excels in low and slow cooking. It has a slightly different texture and fat distribution than the Boston butt, with a rich, porky flavor and enough connective tissue to break down beautifully into tender, juicy meat during a long braise or roast. If you love slow cooked pork, this cut delivers every time.
Our hogs are raised on chemical free pastures and woods where they root, roam, and forage freely. They are fed a corn, soy, and flax free non-GMO diet and raised with no antibiotics, no added hormones, and no vaccines. Shoulder cuts from pasture raised hogs have exceptional flavor because the animals are active, well-nourished, and raised without shortcuts.
The picnic shoulder is a cut that rewards patience. Give it time and low heat, and it will reward you with some of the most satisfying, deeply flavored pork you have ever eaten.
